Thank you for partnering with us

Below are several ways we can work together to ensure student success. Please contact us at success@iastate.edu if you have any questions.

We support. You succeed! The Academic Success Center provides learning opportunities for all students through services that support academic skill development, grade improvement, and engagement with peers, all of which promote success and self-directed learning. The ASC offers individualized and group-facilitated experiences that can be connected to a specific course, or focus on general skill development. Services include Academic Coaching, Writing and Communication Consultations, Supplemental InstructionTutoring Services, and PSYCH 131, an academic skills course. The ASC encourages students to use the supports that can best strengthen their learning. Learn more about ASC services, employment opportunities, and where to find the office at www.asc.dso.iastate.edu or by calling 515-294-6624.

Help your students, even if you're not sure which of our services might be the most beneficial for them. Recommend that they make an appointment with the Academic Success Navigator today.

Our workshops incorporate group activities and discussions to encourage student involvement. Students will be expected to engage with the facilitator and with each other during the workshop experience. You can find a list of all of the workshops we offer here.

You can request a workshop here. Requests will be scheduled the week before classes resume.

Does your class have written, oral, visual, or electronic communication components? Suggest that your students make appointments with our peer communication consultants. Our communication consultants assist with any part of the writing process, from brainstorming to drafting to revision. While our services are not for proofreading, students find successful strategies to improve all aspects of their communication.

If you'd like to partner with Writing and Communication consultations to create an appointment campaign to encourage students to utilize our services, please email rmckenny@iastate.edu.

If your course includes a supplemental instruction section, we highly encourage instructors to make that information visible and accessible for students.
